LDRMC provides 24-hour emergency services. Our facility provides initial evaluation, stabilization, diagnostic testing, and treatment. Transfer to a higher level of care will be arranged if indicated via emergency ground transportation with Critical Care Certified Paramedics. Thanks to the Liberty Rotary Club, our hospital has an onsite helicopter pad for air transport when medically necessary.
Our emergency room is specially equipped to care for the patient with life-threatening conditions and trauma as well as patients needing less emergent care, such as sutures, splinting, wound dressings, and other procedures.
When you arrive at our Emergency room, a registered nurse will examine you to determine how serious your medical condition is (triage). The physician evaluation which follows will classify your medical condition as:
- Emergent – Having a life-threatening illness or injury
- Urgent – A stable condition, but needing help as quickly as possible
- Non-Urgent – A stable condition requiring minimal treatment and medical attention
